Built in 1923 as a grand Bank, the building was extensively renovated with many original features restored in 1998 to create The Bank Hotel, and which has recently undergone refurbishment in February 2008.
The Bank Hotel comprises 9 en-suite bedrooms of a 3 star standard, each one individually designed to reflect the work and lives of a famous Scot. With such an excellent location, transport is not necessary, however, Waverley Train Station is only two minutes walk away & Edinburgh Airport can be accessed via the Airlink bus service which runs every 10 minutes from the airport to the city centre.
