St Cuthbert's Church
Edinburgh
Built as a Catholic church, St. Cuthbert's currently belongs to the Church of Scotland. The building we see today, dates back to the 19th century, however, we can find records referring to St. Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh as far back as in 1127, when King David I gave all the land below the Castle to St Cuthbert's.
Most of the interior design of the church, was inspired by the Italian Renaissance, which was popular at the time of its construction in the 19th century.
At the back of St. Cuthbert's there is also a nice, old graveyard for those who enjoy nostalgic walks.
