Description
We’re off bright and early from Edinburgh, heading west to kick things off with a bang, or rather, a ‘neigh’, at the world’s biggest horse sculptures, the mighty Kelpies! Towering 30 metres high and crafted from 300 tonnes of steel, these gleaming beasties are a proper sight to behold. Snap some pics, soak up the legend, and maybe even whisper a wee ‘giddy up’ - just in case they decide to come to life!
Next up, we roll towards the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. Think lush forests, shimmering waters, and fresh Highland air that’ll have you feeling brand new. We’ll stop at the charming village of Balmaha, where you can stretch the legs, take in the jaw-dropping views, and admire Scotland’s most southerly munro, the legendary Ben Lomond.
The afternoon cranks up the history dial as we storm our way to one of Scotland’s most legendary fortresses: Stirling Castle. Sitting high on Castle Hill, this place has seen it all, from fierce battles to royal drama. It was at the heart of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce’s Wars of Independence, and trust us, the stories here are the stuff of legend. Wander its mighty halls, stand where kings and queens once stood, and soak up the epic views over the surrounding countryside.
After a day packed with towering sculptures, wild landscapes, and heroic history, we make our way back to Edinburgh, arriving in the early evening - just in time to raise a dram to an unforgettable Scottish adventure!
