We leave Edinburgh and head towards a hidden gem beyond the city's hustle and bustle. Your driver-guide will take you to Roslin, a picturesque village in Midlothian surrounded by beautiful countryside. Nestled in the serene village of Roslin is the famous Rosslyn Chapel, made famous by Dan Brown's book, The Da Vinci Code. With its intricate stone carvings and stunning stained glass, this 15th-century chapel captivates all who visit. From pagan symbols to legends of the Knights Templar and the Holy Grail, the chapel sparks the imagination of everyone who walks through its doors. You can explore the chapel to uncover its mysteries or wander through the lush woodlands of nearby Rosslyn Glen. Next, we explore the scenic Scottish Borders, following the Tweed Valley, surrounded by rolling hills, ancient abbeys, and quaint villages. While the area may seem tranquil today, it has a rich history marked by conflicts and skirmishes. We stop for lunch in Melrose, where you can also visit the 12th-century Melrose Abbey. The abbey, closely tied to Scottish history, is believed to hold the heart of Robert the Bruce, brought back from the Crusades, and is sometimes linked in legend to the Knights Templar. Afterward, we'll explore the region, see the statue of Scottish patriot William Wallace, and visit Scott's View, a stunning landscape that inspired Sir Walter Scott, before returning to Edinburgh. *Please note that due to high level masonry inspections, unfortunately sections of Melrose Abbey may be closed during your visit. The sections which are closed do vary. We apologise for the inconvenience. *Please note that if your tour departs on a Sunday, this itinerary will work in reverse.

• You are restricted to 14 kilograms (31 lbs) of luggage per person on the tours. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) with a small bag for onboard personal items
