Description
We’ll kick off our adventure from the historic heart of Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital. Heading northwest, we’ll make our way into the stunning landscapes of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. As we continue north, the scenery becomes even more dramatic. Our next stop is Glen Coe, one of Scotland’s most iconic and breath-taking glens. Towering mountains, deep valleys, and a rich, sometimes tragic history await you here. It’s a place that really stirs the soul. From there, we’ll make our way to Fort Augustus, a charming village perched on the southern tip of the legendary Loch Ness. You’ll have time to take in the views—and maybe even catch a glimpse of Nessie herself! If you're feeling adventurous, there’s an optional boat cruise available on the loch (subject to availability). We’ll spend the night in Fort Augustus, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful charm of the village and the scenic Caledonian Canal. Overnight: Fort Augustus, Loch Ness Day 2: Loch Ness & Eilean Donan Castle Start your morning with a little more time in Fort Augustus. You can choose to hop on a Loch Ness cruise or just enjoy the tranquil setting and local cafes. Next up, we’ll visit the picture-perfect Eilean Donan Castle—arguably one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. Sitting at the meeting point of three sea lochs and surrounded by dramatic Highland scenery. You’ll have time to explore inside and soak in the incredible views. Afterward, we’ll cross the bridge to the magical Isle of Skye, and you'll explore some of the island before you settle in for the night. Overnight: Isle of Skye Day 3: Discovering the Isle of Skye Today is all about exploring Skye, one of the most spectacular islands in the world. With your expert driver-guide leading the way, you’ll visit some of Skye’s most iconic sights. Depending on the weather and group preferences, highlights may include the dramatic Cuillin Mountains, the traditional Black Houses, and the breathtaking Kilt Rock Waterfall. You might also see the Old Man of Storr and take in the sweeping views of the Trotternish Peninsula. This full day promises unforgettable scenery, ancient history, and the wild spirit of the Highlands. Overnight: Isle of Skye Day 4: Steam Trains & Highland Charm After another peaceful night on Skye, we’ll travel south to the ferry port of Armadale and sail over to the quaint fishing village of Mallaig (ferry subject to availability). You'll then enjoy a one-way trip through the Highlands. You’ll cross the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct and take in views of lochs and rugged mountains. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your driver-guide will meet you in Fort William and we’ll head south to the charming Victorian town of Pitlochry. Nestled in the Highlands, it’s a great place to explore local shops, admire beautiful 19th-century architecture, or visit the Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder—where you might just spot a salmon leaping upstream.Includes
