Newly refurbished after a fire a few years back, Liquid Rooms is the grandaddy of the Edinburgh club scene. Big names from the music and club world regularly play here, and it also hosts some of the longest running and most popular club nights in the city. Has a great smoking area too!
The Liquidroom is open every night hosting gigs and events every day of the week, every week of the year. This club/venue does not discriminate and has hosted many towering performances from Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder Snow Patrol and even Nancy Sinatra.
Despite a fire in the restaurant above in 2008, the Liquidroom re-emerged recently with almost double the size. Apparently also the sound guys are very enthusiastic about their set-up here, and certainly the club punches above its weight and enjoys the interest of some of the biggest performers in the world.
