Since 1838 Jenners has stood on Edinburgh’s Princes Street, and has been known for much of its life as the “Harrods of the North”. Now an Edinburgh institution with recommendation from the Queen herself, this store is dedicated to women not only in their retailing, but also in architecture.
Jenners has always been at the head of the latest trends, and it comes as no surprise that this was one of the first stores in the world to fit lighting and hydraulic lifts. Sold to House of Fraser in 2005, their new parent company have continued to invest in this innovative flagship store and continues to offer the finest in fashion, beauty products, food and homeware. Also present as with it's sister shop House of Frazer is a beauty salon and café.
This elegant and old department store also erects a tall Scandinavian Christmas tree in their central hall each Christmas, which will warm the cockles of even the greatest scrooge.
The store is open each day of the week until around 6pm at night.
