The Ghost Bus tour takes you through Edinburgh’s Old Town and New Town aboard a beautifully refurbished vintage double-decker. Learn about grave robbers, plague victims, and the city’s ghostly residents while viewing key monuments including Edinburgh Castle, Grassmarket, Greyfriar’s Kirk, Holyrood Palace, and the Royal Mile.
During the tour, discover sites of historical murders, tortures, and executions. Hear stories of the infamous Burke and Hare, as well as the women accused of witchcraft who were drowned or burned.
The bus itself is notable for its period features such as atmospheric lamps and window curtains. Originally part of the Necropolis Bus Company fleet, it is the sole survivor of a 1967 fire that destroyed the other buses.
