Description

Step inside Edinburgh's 56 North Distillery to explore how award-winning gins are crafted. Begin your visit at Scotland's oldest dedicated gin bar, featuring over 300 spirits on the shelf.

You will be welcomed with a South Loch Gin and Fever-Tree tonic and introduced to the copper stills used to produce South Loch Gin. While enjoying your drink, learn about botanicals, production methods, bottling, and other gin-making techniques.

The experience continues in the tasting room where you sample three distinct gins produced on-site. Your host will share insights into the research and development behind each gin.

Conclude your visit with a South Loch Gin cocktail prepared by a dedicated bar team. You are welcome to stay afterwards to try additional gin varieties or food options.

South Loch Distillery has won 14 Scottish Gin Awards since 2021 and is the most awarded distillery in Scotland at these awards. It has been nominated as Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year 2025.
