Meet at the entrance gate to Modern One, National Gallery of Scotland (75 Belford Road) to begin your tour. Emma, an art historian and artist, guides you through Edinburgh’s history, art, and heritage starting in the Modern One sculpture garden. Discover works by Richard Long, Barbara Hepworth, and others with detailed explanations.

The tour continues with a visit to Dean Cemetery, exploring the Scottish Enlightenment and Edinburgh’s literary legacy. Following the Water of Leith Walkway, you pass landmarks such as Belford Bridge, Bells Brae, and learn about the city’s industrial background linked to the river.

Arriving at Dean Village, hear about its milling heritage through the area's distinctive architecture. The walk continues past St Bernard’s Well and ends in Stockbridge, where you explore the Victorian history and the local attractions of this popular neighbourhood.

The tour concludes in Stockbridge, where you may choose to stay for food or drinks at one of the area's cafes, restaurants, or pubs.
