Description
The tour starts northwest of Edinburgh towards Stirling, known for its rich history and Stirling Castle. You stop briefly to photograph the castle and reflect on its role in Scottish battles.
Next is Glengoyne Distillery, where you discover the whisky-making process using the slowest stills in Scotland. The tour includes tasting two drams of rich, fruity whisky.
You then drive to Loch Lomond’s shore for lunch in the village of Balmaha, with an optional short walk to a viewpoint overlooking the loch.
Finally, visit Deanston Distillery, a converted cotton mill on the River Teith. Here you experience a whisky tasting that highlights unique flavours and see key parts of the distillation process.
After the tour, you return to Edinburgh reflecting on whisky as an experience tied to land, craft, and history.
