Description
Departing from 22 St Andrew Square, travel from Edinburgh’s urban setting to the peaceful countryside of East Lothian. Along the route, observe expansive green hills and fertile farmland that reflect Scotland’s natural landscape.
At Glenkinchie Distillery, explore the historic architecture and carefully maintained gardens while learning about the whisky production process. The tour highlights how locally grown barley is transformed into distinctive whisky, illustrating the connection between the land and its flavors.
This full-sensory tour includes insights into the craftsmanship behind the spirits, culminating in a tutored tasting of three drams, followed by a wee cocktail served in the Tasting Room. Glenkinchie serves as the Lowland Home of Johnnie Walker and offers a unique whisky experience.
June 2026 Booking Notice
During June 2026, the distillery will close its Production area for the Silent Season. The standard Flavour Journey tour will be unavailable. Instead, guests will take part in the Glenkinchie Sensory Experience, featuring:
- Sensory Theatre tasting of the 12-Year-Old whisky
- Visit to the Model Room
- Guided tasting of three additional whiskies in the Maturation Room
The transfer service from Edinburgh remains active throughout this period.
