Description

Depart early from Edinburgh city centre and travel west through Argyll, Loch Lomond, Inveraray, and other scenic spots. The tour begins at Doune Castle, known for its appearance in the TV series Outlander, where you may choose to explore the interior. After a break at Tyndrum, continue to Kilchurn Castle, a historic site overlooking Loch Awe with connections to the Jacobite rebellion.

Next, travel to Inveraray for lunch by Loch Fyne, followed by an optional visit to Inveraray Jail, one of Britain's best-preserved prisons. On the return journey, stop briefly at Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint for panoramic Highland views. The final stop is in Luss, a village offering a clear sense of Highland heritage before returning to Edinburgh.
