Description
The tour begins departing Edinburgh, heading first to the Kelpies, the 30-meter-high equine sculptures inspired by Scottish folklore. Next, the route travels west to Loch Lomond, where an optional one-hour cruise offers views of islands and surrounding mountains.
Continue through Trossachs National Park, rich with lochs, forests, and mountains, and associated with the legendary Rob Roy MacGregor. There is time to explore and have lunch in a small village set amid scenic landscapes.
After lunch, the tour passes through Callander and by the medieval Doune Castle before arriving at Stirling Castle, an optional visit. Stirling Castle sits atop volcanic rock and provides historical insights into figures such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots.
The tour then returns to Edinburgh. Please note this itinerary may run in reverse.
