Itinerary

Day 1: Mountains, Massacres, and Monsters

Day 2: North to Lewis and Harris
Depart Inverness for Ullapool, a scenic coastal town, then board a ferry to the Outer Hebrides. After lunch onboard, visit a traditional Blackhouse on the Isle of Lewis. End the day in Stornoway.

Day 3: Ancient History and Island Scenery
Visit Carloway Broch, a well-preserved Iron Age tower, then Callanish Standing Stones. After lunch, relax at Luskentyre Beach before taking a scenic drive on the Golden Road back to Stornoway.

Day 4: Wild Coasts and Atlantic Views
Explore the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse and Port of Ness village. Return to Stornoway for lunch, then ferry back to the mainland. Drive through the Highlands to Inverness for overnight.

Day 5: Historic Battlefields
Visit Culloden Battlefield and its visitor centre to learn about the 1746 Jacobite uprising. Optional whisky distillery tasting available. Stop in Pitlochry before returning to Edinburgh.
