Description

Meeting Point: 190 High Street (Royal Mile, Edinburgh) We will begin our journey in the heart of the Old Town, at 190 High Street, right on the Royal Mile. From here, we’ll head north aboard a comfortable coach or minivan to discover some of the most iconic places in Scottish history. Stirling Castle Our first destination will be the majestic city of Stirling, the setting for some of the most decisive battles in the Wars of Scottish Independence, immortalized in the film Braveheart. From the viewpoint at Stirling Castle, you can admire the Wallace Monument and explore the favorite palace of the Stuart dynasty, once home to Mary, Queen of Scots. Entrance to the castle is not included in the price of the tour. St Andrews We’ll then travel to the county of Fife, on Scotland’s eastern coast, to reach the historic town of St Andrews, the patron saint of Scotland and the birthplace of golf. We’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of its main highlights: the cathedral and castle ruins, the Old Course —the oldest golf course in the world—, its wide beaches, and its charming medieval streets. During your free time, you can have lunch and explore the historic center at your own pace, where the prestigious University of St Andrews, one of the oldest in the English-speaking world, stands out. Before continuing the journey, we recommend a walk along the coast to enjoy the breathtaking views of the North Sea. Kingsbarns Distillery Our next stop will be the Kingsbarns Distillery, also located in the Fife region. Known for its artisanal production, it uses locally grown barley and traditional methods to craft high-quality single malt whiskies. Here, you’ll have the option to join a guided tour to learn about the distillation process and enjoy a whisky tasting. Entrance to the distillery is not included in the price of the tour. If you prefer not to take part in this visit, you can stay in St Andrews and continue exploring the town at your own pace until the group returns. Return to Edinburgh We’ll end our journey on Hanover Street, in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, concluding a day filled with history, stunning landscapes, and Scottish tradition.
