Every June, film-makers from Hollywood to our own Holyrood come to our many independent cinemas to join the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
During these festivals our local Scottish heart-throbs Ewan McGregor and Sean Connery can be seen rubbing shoulders with their (lesser) counterparts in the bars, whilst budding and established film-makers exhibit their latest projects. In 2012, Disney Pixar will close the festival with a premiere of their new Scotland-set animation, Brave.
