The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo benefits from the most spectacular location on Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. In front of the stunning backdrop of the floodlit castle, performers from all over the globe put on a powerful show of music, dance and military displays.
Having grown into a widely-recognised and respected event, the Tattoo now attracts around 250,000 spectators each year, with a further 100 million around the world watching the show on television. To mark this Diamond Jubilee year, the Queen has graciously bestowed the Royal title to the festival which now assumes the name “The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo”.
