Join a 2-day trip through the Scottish Highlands, where mesmerizing landscapes and tales of Scotland’s turbulent history await. Departing from Edinburgh, embark on an adventure amidst the Glen Coe and Loch Ness, offering an escape with stunning landscapes, historic landmarks, and quaint villages. Day 1: Depart Edinburgh and travel through Stirlingshire with imposing views of Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument. Take a break in the charming village of Callander - make sure to sample some local bakeries. Stop in the world-famous Glencoe, a place that seems to transcend time. Take in the jaw-dropping views and ethereal atmosphere. Enjoy a lunch break in Fort William, which will be your base for the evening. Make your way to the starting point of the Jacobite Steam train, stopping to admire the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Arrive in Mallaig, the starting point for the Jacobite Steam Train, and embark on a steam train journey. Finally, reach Fort William in the early evening to settle in for the night. Day 2: Wake up in the picturesque Fort William and enjoy a breakfast before your adventures begin. Head to the Commando Memorial to pay your respects. Arrive at the Clansman Harbour to embark on a 50-minute Jacobite Cruise on Loch Ness, keeping an eye out for the elusive Loch Ness monster. Continue to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, for lunch. Make a stop at Culloden Battlefield, the tragic setting for one of the most pivotal battles in Scottish history (pay £14 per adult on arrival.) Stop in the picturesque Pitlochry before returning to Edinburgh in the early evening.
