Purslane takes pride in always offering the freshest local produce, creating a unique dining experience for all it's customers. 'Casual fine dining' is what you can expect, with a relaxed atmosphere where it is all about enjoying delicious food.
The menu boasts a wide variety of freshly prepared delicacies, delivering high quality flavour with every mouthful. (Be careful, all the dishes look so pretty on the plate, you will want to take a moment just marvelling at it before tucking in!!)
Whether you are just taking a stroll through Stockbridge and decide to stop in whilst passing or decide to book your table in advance, there is no dress code so you can enjoy the same experience even if your just after a casual, relaxed meal. However, we would recommend booking in advance where possible, as Purslane is so cosy and intimate- space for tables is limited.
Paul Gunning (Head Chef and Owner) has experience in working in five-star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants, working under some of the top chefs around! You can rest assured that you will be well looked after, from both the kitchen to the friendly front of house staff that greet you on arrival.
A NEW Dessert Tasting menu is being introduced, with Sebastian Kobelt bringing his delights from the dessert world. Purslane will open its doors for the dessert eating marathon with one sitting only on Monday, January 13 2014 - serving matching wines for each course as an optional extra.
It's good news for those with a sweet-tooth, if the night proves a success the restaurant are looking to add the tasting option as a permanent fixture to their menu.
