Parks and Gardens in City Centre
Edinburgh is filled with parks and gardens. They are very well taken care of and well located so they are easily accessible from anywhere in Edinburgh.
Many of the Parks were former lochs, having been used for refuse and worse, they also gave the city its nickname Auld Reekie after the smell, a nickname the locals affectionately use even today. Having been drained, they now are the locations for some of the largest and most picturesque views in Europe.
